1987 - 1993: A Different World
A Different World is an American television sitcom which aired for six seasons on NBC (from September 24, 1987 until July 9, 1993). It was a spin-off series from The Cosby Show, originally centered around Denise Huxtable (portrayed by actress Lisa Bonet) and the life of students at Hillman College, a fictional historically Black college in Virginia. Later seasons of the show focused on other characters including Dwayne Wayne (portrayed by actor Kadeem Hardison) and Whitley Gilbert (portrayed by actress Jasmine Guy).

Our Company

The TRUE SCHOOL CORPORATION, LLC was founded March 25, 2006 by 7 young men.

Its founders are: Dr. Martin Vincent Clark, DDS; Jossan Robinson, p/k/a The Son of Job; Robert Carter, p/k/a DJ Cuzzin B; Dr. Reginald Baker, DDS; Rodney Waters; Chris Robinson, p/k/a Cesar Comanche; and Patrick Douthit, p/k/a 9th Wonder. These 7 young felt the need to create a much needed space for their age group in the media marketplace, by celebrating 15 years of music, culture, and film (1980-1995). Thus, TRUE SCHOOL CORPORATION was born.

Glory

GLORY recounts the bravery of a group of Civil War soldiers often overlooked by history--the 54th Regiment of Massachusetts, a troop of free black men who fought to help win liberty for their enslaved brothers.Based on the historical novels ONE GALLANT RUSH by Peter Burchand and LAY THIS LAUREL by Lincoln Kirstein and the letters of Robert Gould Shaw, the film follows the youthful Colonel Shaw (Matthew Broderick) as he takes responsibility for readying these soldiers for battle. Shaw, a privileged young Boston Brahman, finds the job harder than expected because many of the men balk at taking orders from him. Private Trip (Denzel Washington) is especially resistant to Shaw's leadership, but over time the two come to an understanding as they endure the hardships of the war.

The Get-Along Gang

The Get Along Gang is a group of kids who have an abandoned red caboose for a clubhouse. The group consists of Montgomery Moose (their optimistic leader), Dottie the dog, Woolma Lamb (a self-indulgent, cute sheep), Zipper the supercool cat, Bingo Beaver (the practical joker), and smallest of the group isPorsha Porcupine.

They lend a helping hand to those in need, foil the plans of Catchum and Leeland, then get a sundae at Mr. Hoofnagles' ice cream parlor. The series was based on popular childrens books. summary courtesy of retrojunk.com
